CERTAIN kinds of people are just naturally photogenic.

No matter what camera you point at them (other than a speed camera, perhaps, or the kind doctors use to gawp at your insides), they always look annoyingly fantastic.

Even if they've just crawled out of bed, or they've been bathing the dog or, I don’t know, they've fallen down a well.

David Beckham is one such person, isn’t he? He’s just a natural.

Point a camera at me and usually I either look grumpy or unhinged. The picture you see on this page each day is the closest I could get to a reasonable compromise. I merely look in need of a slap.
