THE future of a town centre subway has still to be decided.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is considering three options for the underpass - shutting it completely, retaining 24-hour access and sprucing it up, or shutting it at night.
It comes as the council is expected to retain the subway - which links Tunstall High Street and The Boulevard - and install better CCTV. It comes after previous CCTV cameras were fitted at the wrong height and vandalised.
Now traders are welcoming any moves to improve subway safety.
