A new survey is asking what brings communities together — and keeps them apart. Rob Andrews reports...

RESIDENTS, businesses and community groups are being asked what more can be done to make Stoke-on-Trent a more inclusive and welcoming place.
People from all backgrounds are being invited to share their experiences of living, working or studying in the city as part of a major listening exercise which is being carried out as part of the One Stoke-on-Trent campaign.
Backed by £600,000 from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government's Community Recovery Fund, the campaign was launched in February on the back of the Hanley riots in August 2024 which saw hundreds of protestors descend on the city centre.
It brings together leaders from across the city council, emergency services, schools and colleges, football clubs, faith and voluntary organisations and The Sentinel.
