Tchamadeu has lofty ambitions to deliver consistently for Potters after his weekend wonder goal

JUNIOR OUT TO HIT HEIGHTS

MOMENT OF MAGIC: Stoke City defender Junior Tchamadeu scored a stunning goal in the weekend victory over Bristol City.

JUNIOR Tchamadeu is determined to keep repaying the faith shown in him by Mark Robins - even if he got a telling off after his star turn at the weekend.

The 21-year-old right-back scored one and set up another as he played a key part in Stoke's 5-1 win over Bristol City. Now he's preparing for Stoke's trip to Oxford United tonight (7.45pm) to try to keep their place among the Championship pacesetters.

He can see the improvement in his own game across the 10 months under Robins and his coaching team and knows the challenge now is to perform at that level consistently - and to cut out the kind of booking that made sure there was still a stern word amid the praise.

"The manager has trusted me to be his right-back and that means so much to me," said Tchamadeu.
