Johnson is fit and firing to bolster Valiants' TV mission

MARVIN Johnson believes his knowledge of manager Darren Moore will help him in Port Vale's quest to rise up the League One table.
The Valiants play host to Stockport County on Monday night in front of the TV cameras and with a dearth of wing-backs, the ex-Sheffield Wednesday defender could start after making his debut as a substitute in the 1-0 reverse at Wigan Athletic last weekend.
Johnson earned promotion at Wednesday under Moore via the 2023 playoff final at Wembley as The Owls returned to the Championship.
"Obviously I worked with him before so I know exactly the way he works," Johnson said in the pre-match press conference.
"I know what he expects and what he demands and the success that he wants and the drive and ambition he has.
"That's similar to me as a player. I always want to play as best I can and to the highest level that I can. I think even when I was working with him before it really helped me express myself as well and obviously I've got success with him.
