Hem Heath ace Rahim takes six wickets to rock Audley challenge

HEM Heath fourths were quick off the mark to take the points at home against Audley thirds in NSSCL Division Seven.

Visitors Audley were skittled for a mere 43 early on as M Rahim picked up 6-20. There were also two wickets for A Parrot.

D Birkin (17) and C Pass (11) offered the primary resistance for Audley.

Hem Heath completed a 10-wicket win inside seven overs as A Akram and P James struck 18 not out and 15 not out respectively.

Crewe seconds were comfortable winners on their away trip to Onneley.

Crewe managed to make excellent progress to 193-7 from their 40 overs, in which Ravi Varma top-scored with 58 not out.

Varma’s knock contained seven fours, with Michael Whittingham (31) and Mark Hurst (30) also playing their part. Umar Yusuf took two wickets.

Muhammad Haleem (31), Vipin joseph (27) and Geoff Hall (23) made starts in reply, but Onneley were bowled out for 114.

Frazier Hoye fronted the Crewe bowling bid with 4-18, backed up by Johnathan Bourne's 3-24 and a couple of victims for Andrew Whittingham.

Little Stoke thirds took the points from their home clash with Betley seconds.

Betley could only muster 92 all out in the formative stages, in which C Richards (19), § Sanghvi (18) and T Mellor (12) made the most progress.
