Hall believes a couple of wins can put Port Vale right in the mix for League One survival. The Valiants appointed Jon Brady as their new manager this week - and Hall says there’s positivity that the club can avoid a return to League One.

The midfielder will hope to be in the starting lineup tonight, as Vale tackle their first match under Brady, an FA Cup third round tie against Fleetwood Town at Vale Park.

While the immediate focus is making it through to the fourth round against League Two opposition, the overall picture is what Hall and the club are looking at and League One survival is paramount.

“We have still got half a season to go,” said Hall at his pre-match press conference.

“Anything can change in football. Two wins and you are right back in it. So everyone is still positive and everyone believes we can still get out of this situation.
