Goodman backs Vale to have enough to cement place in League One

PORT Vale have a good chance of staying in League One following their promotion — that’s the view of Don Goodman.

The Sky Sports pundit has revealed that he is “optimistic” about Vale’s survival chances with Darren Moore at the helm.

The Valiants immediately secured their place back in the third tier after and up-and-down campaign that ultimately saw them claim second spot and an automatic promotion place.

Now, they hope to consolidate themselves as regulars in League One, with the club last having a multiple season stay in this division between 2013 and 2017.

In recent times, Vale have shown inconsistency, bouncing between the third and fourth tiers.

So far this summer transfer window, the club have brought in another seven first-team players having had a complete overhaul last summer.
