Couple reached out after reading about Aaron's plight

- Sentinel Reporter

FRIENDS and family raised cash for the loved-ones of a much loved father-of-four who died of skin cancer aged just 38.

Aaron Lee Wareham was diagnosed with terminal melanoma in October, having believed he had little to fear when he had a 'black lump' on his back checked out.

But tests revealed the cancerous growth had already spread to his lymph nodes, lungs and kidneys.

Aaron died on April 26, days after marrying long-time partner Danielle. Their story inspired a flood of support, with more than 100 people attending a 5k fun run for Aaron's family in April.

The latest fundraiser, at Burslem Cricket Club on the bank holiday weekend, was set up by couple Lauren Taylor and Sean Hamilton, who were moved by Aaron's story. It followed his funeral on Friday.
