Scaffolding up at historic building
'ESSENTIAL' repair work has started to 'secure the future' of a historic train station.
Network Rail is fixing the roof and brickwork at the Grade II* listed Stoke Station following damage caused by severe weather.
Scaffolding has gone up during the work at the building, which was constructed between 1846 and 1848.
A Network Rail spokesperson said: "We're currently completing a programme of repairs to the roof and brickwork on Stoke-on-Trent station's Grade II listed building, which will help secure its future for passengers for many years to come.
