A LUXURY care home which has its own pub, spa and cinema room has been put in 'special measures.'
Priesty Fields Care Home, in Congleton, has been rated 'inadequate' following a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
Inspectors say they found nine breaches of regulation, some of which related to providing safe, individualised care and the management of the service.
This is the first time the home has been inspected since it was taken over by Sandstone Care Cheshire Limited.
The home, which provides personal and nursing care for up to 78 people, says the inspection process started in November last year and "substantial improvements" have been made since then under a new management team. It has requested a fresh inspection from the watchdog.
The overall rating for the home, as well as the service areas of 'safe' and 'well-led,' was 'inadequate.' The areas of 'effective, 'caring' and 'responsive' were judged to 'requires improvement.
