Boss hopes Leek Town can bounce back after opening day defeat

JOSH Brehaut hopes his Leek Town side can begin to pick up points quickly after losing the season opener 2-0 at FC United of Manchester, writes Clive Youlton.
The Blues were due to face Rushall Olympic at home last night and then entertain Morpeth on Saturday.
The opening Northern Premier League Premier Division clash last weekend was not the ideal start, but having Liam Edwards back in the team after his onegame ban carried over from last season will help.
“The better team won,” reflected Brehaut, below. “We started fairly well and we had a really good chance that they managed to clear off the line in the first five minutes. Then the game was toing and froing.
“They were on top and they then scored a goal around 18 minutes which, from our point of view, was really disappointing.”
