LEEK Town had an excellent 3-0 victory at Whitby Town in the Northern Premier League's top division to make it four wins in five games, all without conceding a goal.
The game had to undergo a pitch inspection due to snow and when the game began it was Whitby who had the first chances with both Adam Gell and Jake Charles going close.
The Blues came into proceedings and took a 34th-minute lead. The ball fell to Callum Leigh on the edge of the box and he curled a fine effort into the top corner.
The home side almost levelled just before the break when a Layton Watts cross was scooped over the bar from close range by Connor Smith.
Tunde Owolabi had an effort saved by Whitby 'keeper Shane Bland before putting Leek 2-0 ahead in the 63rd minute with his second goal in successive league games.
Leek emphasised their dominance with a third goal five minutes from time when Connor Heath headed home an Adam Porter cross.
In the West Division
NEWCASTLE TOWN led league leaders Lower Breck 3-1 with ten minutes remaining but were pegged back to a 3-3 draw.
Castle took the lead in the first minute when Ethan Vale played a good ball to Joel Jones and he slotted it home for his 10th goal of the season.
Newcastle dealt a further shock to the leaders by doubling their lead in the 16th minute.
It was Vale again who sent over a perfect cross for the evergreen Tim Grice to head past Theo Roberts.
Lower Breck pulled a goal back in the 27th minute when Harry McGee headed home a cross from Alex Cherera.
Castle regained their two goal advantage two minutes before the interval when Vale sent over another cross to complete a hat-trick of assists for Grice to flick a header into the net.
Lower Breck poured forward in the second half and they made it 3-2 in the 80th minute when a Dan Lowey cross was headed past Joe Slinn by substitute Tom Croughan.
Lower Breck broke Newcastle hearts with a 90th-minute equaliser as Connor Millington lashed the ball into the net with a 20-yard shot.
CONGLETON TOWN were held to a 2-2 draw at the Cleric Stadium by Chasetown.
