SOME of North Staffordshire's most exciting talents will face off against each other in a competition taking place to celebrate creativity.
ArtSlam NUL is a charity art event taking over the surroundings of Astley Place in Newcastle town centre - formerly York Place Shopping Centre - from 7pm on Friday.
Visitors will witness live competitive rounds of 2D visual art, ceramics, and spoken word, where artists go head-to-head to create original work in just 40 minutes.
The audience will vote to crown the winner of each category, culminating in one overall ArtSlam Champion.
The competition will spotlight some of the area's most exciting talent including:
■ 2D Art: Amalia Gherman, Chloe Breeze, Christian Bartram, Diana Abankhwa, James Fox Neville and Paige Sutton;
■ Ceramics Round (sponsored by Valentine Clays): Docile, Kim Hargreaves and Olivia Azzopardi;
