Potters stars desperate to keep alive hopes of getting to USA, Canada and Mexico

- Peter Smith

VIKTOR Johnasson and Junior Tchamadeu face days of destinies today in hope to keep alive their chances of making next summer's World Cup finals.

Stoke City keeper Johansson is preparing to play in goal for Sweden against Kosovo (7.45pm) after his team were booed off following a 3-0 defeat to Switzerland on Friday, leaving their chances of qualification in serious jeopardy.

Sweden are bottom of Group B with just one point from their opening three matches, three points behind second-placed Kosovo and a playoff spot and eight points behind Switzerland. Their final two group fixtures will be played next month.

Tchamadeu is hoping to make his first international appearance since early 2024 when Cameroon host Angola at 5pm.
