Government cash to be spent over 3 years
A PROGRAMME of free activities and healthy meals for schoolchildren across the city will continue thanks to a £4.5m cash boost.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council's Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF) is set to carry on until at least February 2029 thanks to the Government funding.
HAF provides the activities and meals for eligible children during the school holidays.
It benefits youngsters aged five to 16 years as well as some four-year-olds - who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals.
