RSP's New Plate Mill sets multiple production records

THE New Plate Mill (NPM) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) achieved a remarkable production milestone on July 10, 2025, by rolling 5,109 tonnes of plates in a single day its highest ever since commissioning in 2014.
This surpassed the previous record of 5,050 tonnes set on December 11, 2024.
The mill also set a new single-day slab rolling record with 383 slabs, exceeding its earlier best of 355. Additionally, it achieved its highest-ever shift tonnage of 1,834 tonnes during the C shift on the same day.
