Your college success blueprint: Your guide to well-being

The college years in the Philippines are a time of incredible growth and opportunity. College gives us a taste of the real world, preparing us mentally and emotionally, especially, for the hardships of adult life.

To fully embrace this exciting journey and achieve academic and social success, prioritizing mental well-being is not just beneficial—it is essential. Remember, mental health is just as important as physical health.

BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION

Your success in school largely depends on you; your health, in all aspects. Putting yourself first is not selfish, especially if you are a working student.

1. Prioritize self-care

This isn't a luxury; it's a necessity. Make time for activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul.

This could include regular exercise, mindful meditation, sufficient sleep (7 to 9 hours), healthy eating, and engaging in hobbies you enjoy.

Even short breaks throughout the day can make a significant difference.

2. Connect with others

Building a strong support network is crucial.

Nurture relationships with family, friends, and classmates. Join clubs or organizations aligned with your interests to meet like-minded individuals and build community.
