Toyota Top Revenue Contributor in Batangas Port, Remits P24 B

Automotive firm Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMP) emerged as the top revenue contributor to the Bureau of Customs-Port of Batangas (BOC-POB) in the first semester as it remitted P24 billion in duties and taxes.
In a statement yesterday, TMP said the remittance in the first half is 29 percent higher than the amount remitted in the same period last year.
The announcement on TMP's revenue contribution was made during the BOC-POB's 68th Founding Anniversary Celebration and Thanksgiving for Partners held on Aug. 20.
According to the BOC-POB, TMP's contribution accounts for 35.7 percent of the Top 10 Importers' list during the first half of the year.
