Rica Peralejo on reuniting with Piolo Pascual in 'Manila's Finest'

One of the reasons Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio accepted the offer to be part of the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) official entry "Manila's Finest" was because of Piolo Pascual.

Helmed by Raymond Red, Rica and Piolo portray a couple in the movie produced by MQuest Ventures and Cignal.

Set in 1969, the crime drama film follows the story of a band of Manila policemen struggling to preserve their integrity and loyalties as creeping state control signals a nation about to change. Piolo plays a seasoned cop named Lt. Homer Magtibay.

During the look test and table reading held at the Meralco Lighthouse in Ortigas, Rica and Piolo were seated next to each other.

In an exclusive chat, she told The STAR that Piolo is one of the factors why she considered "Manila's Finest," which also marks her comeback acting project after years of showbiz hiatus.
