The Porsche 919 Hybrid won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three years in a row — 2015, 2016, and 2017 — proving the brand's high-performance hybrid technology. Drawing directly from this championship-winning pedigree is the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid.

Powering the 919 Hybrid was a combustion engine paired with a hybrid system that recovered energy from both braking and exhaust gases, using this to deliver extra power on demand. This technology now benefits the Cayenne E-Hybrid.
As a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), the Cayenne E-Hybrid can travel up to 90 kilometers on electric power alone. The battery can be recharged through regenerative braking or by connecting to a home or destination charger, making daily drives more efficient and reducing fuel consumption significantly.
