PNP lauds INC for peaceful rally

The Philippine National Police yesterday commended PNP personnel and the Iglesia Ni Cristo for the peaceful and orderly conclusion of the two-day INC assemblies initially planned to run for three days.

Acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. lauded officers assigned in Metro Manila and other regions for implementing security protocols.

Nartatez also thanked the INC for cooperating with authorities.

“The cooperation shown by INC rally organizers allowed police to perform their duties effectively and efficiently while respecting the public’s right to assemble and freedom of expression,” Nartatez said. “This is proof of what we can achieve when we work together.”
