Phl should maintain strong trade with US, China – experts

Despite differences and challenges faced on territorial issues, experts believe the Philippines should keep strong trade relations with both China and the United States.
Speaking at last Wednesday’s 14th Manila Forum on Philippines-China relations at Shangri-la The Fort, they said such strong ties should be kept instead of choosing one over the other.
“It would be suicidal if you want to be friends with one and an enemy with the other,” Victor Gao, a veteran lawyer and vice president for the Center for China and Globalization, said in his keynote speech.
