Palace: AFP looking into destabilization attempts

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is investigating alleged attempts to destabilize the Marcos administration, following a viral social media post by media personality Ramon Tulfo, Malacanang said yesterday.

Tulfo, in a Facebook post, accused Vice President Sara Duterte, Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte and former Ilocos Sur governor Luis “Chavit” Singson of financing the supposed plot.

He also named more than 10 other personalities allegedly involved in the destabilization efforts, though he did not identify the source of his information.

At a Palace press briefing, Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said the AFP has taken notice of the claims and is validating the information.

“This has been noticed by the AFP, and names such as (Romeo) Poquiz, General (Orly) de Leon and Benjie Magalong were mentioned although for confirmation, and others including Col. La Chica, who was allegedly involved in the P125-million confidential funds of the Vice President,” Castro said.
