NGCP's P2.3-B Laguindingan substation project gets ERC OK

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), the power regulator, has iven the National Grid Corp. of the P ilippines (NGCP) the green light to officially proceed with the construction of a P2.34billion transmission project.
In a notice of resolution issued on Thursday, the ERC approved the NGCP's Laguindingan 230 kilovolt (k V) substation project that is expected to ensure lgrid stability and boost economic growt in Northern Mindanao.
"The new 230 k V substation will bolster the power supply for Misamis Oriental I Electric Cooperative and support the province's domestic industrial zone, Laguindingan Technopark, with the needed high-power transmission corridor," it said.
