Marcos blasts 'blatant attempts at destabilization'

President Marcos yesterday cited the need to stand up to what he described as “blatant attempts of destabilization” and efforts to remain in a “disappearing past” as rumors of a supposed plot to oust his administration persist.

During the graduation of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Bagong Sinag” class of 2024, Marcos said his “Bagong Pilipinas” governance campaign is about actively building a great nation one day at a time, but acknowledged that the goal involves “birth pains.”

“Bagong Pilipinas is now being slowly born. This is a time of birth pains – sadly, of opportunism, blatant attempts of destabilization, and last-ditch to cling to the rapidly disappearing past,” he said.

“But we must be resolute. We must hold on. We cannot turn back,” he added.
