#HyunBinAtSolaire: 'Shining Bin' dazzles Pinoy fans
The Philippine Star

He looked exactly like he did as the debonair Capt. Ri Jeong-kyeok in the Korean drama series Crash Landing on You (CLOY)—even better, believes PeopleAsia features editor Alex Y. Vergara.
From where I sat about four feet away from him during a press conference at the Solaire Resort, Hyun Bin looked like an Asian god, reserved and dignified, his voice low and soothing like menthol candy; his gaze soft but direct, and his smile, well...is there a stronger adjective than electrifying?
He also seemed humble. When a mobile phone rang in the midst of his answer during the press conference, he didn't frown or wince, even involuntarily. Instead, he said with a smile to the owner of the phone, "You may take your call."
"He is educado," says hotelier Tina Cuevas.
After his press conference at the Solaire Ballroom, which was organized by Solaire's Joy Wassmer, he strode out to the public areas of Solaire where fans were staking out, shaking as many hands as he humanly could, taking as many selfies as time would allow. Then he made his way to another engagement, the fan meet-and-greet at the Solaire Theater. Not everyone had a ticket to this, and he did not want to disappoint.
"He knows how to handle his fame," says "Woman of Steel" Alice Eduardo, who was on the front row of Hyun Bin's meet-and-greet.
I think, if given the chance and if he wasn't surrounded by a phalanx of bodyguards, he would also have held doors open for women, just like he did in the department store scene in CLOY.
