Filminera, Phil.Gold extend help to Opong-hit communities in Masbate

Communities in Aroroy, Masbate received over P10 million worth of relief goods and construction materials from Filminera Resources Corp. and Phil. Gold Processing and Refining Corp. (Phil.Gold) following the devastation of typhoon Opong.

The relief operations, conducted from Sept. 25 to Oct. 6, were carried out in close coordination with the Aroroy municipal government to ensure aid reached the most affected barangays.

The beneficiaries of construction materials, relief goods, or both included the barangays of Ambolong, Talabaan, Bangon, Balawing, Pinanaan, Lanang, Jaboyoan, Tinago, Puro, Panique, Amoroy, Capsay, Balete, Concepcion and Luy-a.
