FIL-CANADIAN STAR MANNY JACINTO CHANNELS PINOY PARENTS INTO 'FREAKIER FRIDAY' ROLE

These were the words of Filipino-Canadian Hollywood actor Manny Jacinto who got to act alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in Disney's "Freakier Friday," now showing in cinemas.

In the sequel to 2003 "Freaky Friday," Manny is Eric Reyes, the new fiancé of Lindsay's character Anna, father to Lily (Sophia Hammons) and soon-to-be stepfather to Harper Coleman (Julia Butters). The latter is Anna's daughter and Tess' (Jamie) granddaughter.

"Freakier Friday" is helmed by Nisha Ganatra and based on the book "Freaky Friday" by Mary Rodgers. It is produced by Kristin Burr, Andrew Gunn and Jamie, with Nathan Kelly, Ann Marie Sanderlin and Lindsay serving as executive producers.

Manny previously starred in "The Acolyte," "Top Gun: Maverick" and "The Good Place."

The 37-year-old thespian was born in Manila and moved to Canada with his family when he was a child.
