CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA CALLS WORKING WITH HIS WIFE A 'BLESSING'

EVEN AFTER MORE THAN TWO DECADES in the music industry, Christian Bautista continues to look for ways to grow.
The Asia's Romantic Balladeer and his wife, Kat Ramnani, now have their own talent management and digital marketing company named NYMA, which gives equal weight to talent and strategy.
In an exclusive Zoom chat with The STAR, Christian shared running a company with his wife — a former tech and telecommunications executive — requires balance and trust.
"Definitely, meron kaming, 'Ay work muna tayo' or 'mag-asawa muna tayo,'" Christian said with a laugh. "Nagdyu-joke nga siya na kapag naka-pajama na daw siya, wala munang work questions. Ako naman kasi I like work questions."
He considers it a blessing to be working alongside Kat. "She's an amazing, amazing person. She knows exactly what needs to be done. We have an amazing team as well and an amazing group of artists.
"It's such a blessing. Some people are saying don't do it. Pero ako naman parang I love it! Kasi we get to tour together, we get to go to countries together — so, more time spent together.
"Ako naman, sharing my experiences with other artists. I guess that's my forte — how to handle pressure, this season or that season. So, really, it's been a blessing."
For Christian, their dynamic works because they play to each other's strengths. “We have to trust each other. For example, he expertise really is social media and strategy. I also had my own strategies before but I have to adapt to what is working now, in this current digital media space, which she is an expert on. So I have to trust her.
“But there are also times where traditional strategies are needed for certain projects. I’m gonna ask her now to trust me.
“It’s that kind of trust that needs to happen — and is happening — between the both of us.”
