BGYO ready to show growth in first solo concert

The members of the P-pop boy group BGYO can’t wait to show supporters how their music has evolved and how much they’ve grown as artists at their first solo concert at the New Frontier Theater this Oct. 4.

Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki and Nate were products of ABS-CBN’s “Star Hunt Academy” and debuted as a group in 2021 with The Light as their single.

JL shared at a presscon how pressured they are for their forthcoming gig but at the same time, ae are ecstatic to showcase what they’ve become over the past couple of years and their new identity asa group. “Also watch out for our old songs because we haven't performed some of the songs in a long time and we’re excited to show the new version and kung sino ang BGYO ngayon,” he added.

As the concert approaches, they have been doing longer and more intense rehearsals, revealed Nate. “We have many adjustments. There are some changes, some things to make something new and we wanna make sure that we're prepared mentally and physically.

“And personally, I am excited for our performance and of our new EP (‘Headlines’) because it fits the name of our concert — this is our music now and who we are now,” Nate echoed JL.
