Do Filipinos have a sense of history? In a transition age brought about by the pandemic's sudden abrogation of all activity, we seem to have a heightened anxiety about our national sports teams. Though there are still a few enjoying a honeymoon period, like the sensational Carlos Yulo and Hidilyn Diaz, as a whole, even the remarkable Alex Eala has not been spared.
