"Is this America's Liz Truss moment?" asks a new report from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a respected non-partisan think-tank in Washington.

The budget that Republicans are proposing to Congress, argues the CRFB, would leave the government's financial health in worse shape than Britain's would have been in had Liz Truss and her fiscal recklessness not been unceremoniously ditched in 2022 amid a financial market panic.
