UK business has a serious problem with succession.
According to a new study, 52% of FTSE 100 companies seeking a new boss in the past financial year - and 62% of FTSE 250 companies - picked an outsider rather than promoting from within. That compares with just 27% of firms in the US's S&P 500, and 23% of those on Germany's Dax.
