Police attach Rs 1 Cr property of drug peddler

The Jammu and Kashmir Police today attached a residential property com-prising a two-storeyed house along with adjoining land worth approximately Rs 1 crore, of an alleged drug peddler in Srinagar district.
Police identified the drug peddler as Pervaiz Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Takanwari, Karnabal. He is accused in an 2024 FIR under Sections 8, 20, and 29 of the NDPS Act registered at Sangam police station.
He is currently under preventive detention under the PITNDPS Act, police said.
