Dimple leads protest over power cuts, water scarcity

Mission Statehood president Sunil Dimple on Saturday led a protest on the Janipur High Court Road, briefly blocking traffic to highlight alleged failures of the Jammu and Kashmir government, particularly the Power Development Department (PDD) and Public Health Engineering (PHE).
Addressing protesters, Dimple demanded that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah fulfil his election promises, including providing 200 units of free electricity in metered areas, stopping power cuts in Jammu, waiving electricity bills of poor families, supplying 12 free LPG cylinders annually, doubling ration and ensuring free drinking water.
