Sunil Dimple, president of Mission Statehood Jammu & Kashmir, led a strong protest at RehariChungi along with hundreds of supporters, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of deliberately delaying the restoration of Jammu & Kashmir's statehood and special status.

Dimple leads protest, accuses BJP of betraying statehood promise

Addressing the protestors, Dimple alleged that the BJP has no intention of restoring the Dogra state of J&K and is intentionally postponing Rajya Sabha elections, assembly bypolls, and local body polls. He claimed the party is betraying the people of J&K and ignoring both parliamentary commitments and Supreme Court directions.
