Vijay's campaign van driver booked on court order

ACTING on recent directions from the Madras High Court, the Velayuthampalayam police in Karur on Sunday registered a case against the driver of the campaign vehicle in which TVK president Vijay travelled on the night of the stampede that left 41 dead.

According to the police, based on a complaint by a head constable at the station, the driver of the vehicle was booked under Section 281 (rash driving or riding on a public road, endangering life) of the BNS. The identity of the accused was not reveale
