INDIA took a huge step towards advancing to the semifinals of the T20 World Cup with a clinical display over Bangladesh.

In Antigua early on Saturday, India hardly gave Bangladesh a sniff. After being asked to bat something Rohit Sharma was going to do anyway - India posted 196, their biggest total so far of the 2024 edition. In response, Bangladesh could only manage 146/8, with all of the usual suspects picking up at least a wicket. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with 3/19 but both Jasprit Bumrah (2/13) and Arshdeep Singh (2/30) also excelling.
Crucially, both Rohit and Virat Kohli also showed glimpses with a first-wicket partnership which took the game away from their neighbours.
