India pares Russian crude imports, but Moscow remains top supplier

Oil shipments from Russia drop marginally from 2 mbd in August to 1.6 mbd in September
INDIA marginally reduced its crude oil imports from Russia in September but Moscow continues to be New Delhi's leading crude supplier.
According to commodity market analytics firm Kpler, Indian imports of Russian crude fell 0.160 million barrels per day (mbd) compared to the average volume of 1.83 mbd imported during the first eight months of this year.
India's overall crude imports in September stood at 4.718 mbd. Russia was the top supplier, accounting for 1.61 mbd.
New Delhi's robust trade with Moscow comes amid pressure from the US in the form of additional 25% tariff on India to stop buying Russian crude.
