IN yet another round of job cuts, Facebook-parent Meta will fire 10,000 employees and close nearly 5,000 additional open roles that the company is yet to hire.
-
This is the second round of layoffs and it is part of the restructuring plan. In November last year, the company announced the firing of 11,000 employees.
In his message to employees on Tuesday, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, "Overall, we expect to reduce our team size by around 10,000 people and to close around 5,000 additional open roles that we haven't yet hired."
