EPS appears in magistrate court over Maran's defamation case

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami appeared before the Egmore Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Tuesday in connection with a defamation case filed against him by former union minister and DMK candidate for the Central Chennai parliamentary constituency Dayanidhi Maran.

Sources said Palaniswami formally registered his appearance before the magistrate, and the case has been adjourned to June 27.
