THE Madras High Court has directed the state police to file a reply to a petition filed by the BJP seeking permission to hold bike rallies carrying the national flag across the state on Independence day.

The petition was filed by A Krishna Prasad, district secretary of Yuva Morcha of BJP in Coimbatore district. He said he submitted an application on August 10 to the police seeking permission for holding bike rallie
