BJP mulls nominating Smriti Irani, Munda and RK Singh to Rajya Sabha

THE BJP may consider nominating at least three of its defeated party candidates in the recent Lok Sabha polls Smriti Irani, Arjun Munda and RK Singh, all Union ministers in the Modi 2.0 team to the Rajya Sabha.
This move will fill vacancies caused by the election of some RS members to the Lok Sabha.
Party sources indicated that Irani, Munda, and Singh could be the party nominees from various states to the Rajya Sabha.
Irani lost from Amethi, Munda from Jharkhand's Khunti and Singh from Bihar's Arrah.
Despite her defeat, Irani's political experience makes her a valuable asset for the party. Munda is a former CM and a prominent tribal face of the party.
