TRAGEDY struck a family on its way to attend a wedding in Nawanshahr of Punjab from Una in Himachal Pradesh when nine of its members were swept away along with their SUV following a sudden flooding of a rivulet near Jejon town of Punjab's Hoshiarpur district, police sources said.
One person is missing while another has been rescued.
In another incident, five labourers died in Himachal after being trapped in a flash flood in Bathu Bathri industrial area of Una district. The industrial area has suffered damage to properties worth more than Rs 100 crore due to flash floods.
