CBI Searches Airport and Other Places Across Chennai

THE CBI on Saturday conducted searches across multiple locations in Chennai, including the cargo area of the city airport, in relation to a ₹941 crore scam involving the diversion of gold bullion imported for the purpose of exporting gold jewellery, sources said.
The searches were conducted by the agency at the offices of a logistics company, at the residence of a few Customs officers, the offices of some gold jewellers in Sowcarpet, and a few other places in the city and neighbouring districts, sources said.
