CM terms move historic step to bring youth into politics
CHIEF Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday announced that the Congress government will push for a historic constitutional reform to lower the minimum age for contesting Assembly elections from 25 to 21 years.
Calling it a "revolutionary step to bring the youth into politics," the chief minister made the declaration after paying tribute to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 81st birth anniversary near the Secretariat. The event was attended by his Cabinet and party colleagues.
