Passengers charged ₹10 for chairs while waiting for bus

TIRUNELVELI corporation officials inspected a private parking lot which was charging passengers ₹10 to rent a chair while waiting for omnibuses on the roadside.
Officials seized a total of 11 chairs here on Thursday.
The officials warned workers against collecting money from people for using the chairs.
The parking lot workers had pasted a 'for rent' poster on the chairs and collected money, mostly from elderly persons.
