Left, VCK seek special law to stop 'honour killings'

LEADERS of left parties and the VCK met DMK president and Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday, and urged him to enact a special law in the Assembly to prevent 'honour killings'.
VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan, CPI state secretary R Mutharasan and CPM state secretary P Shanmugam met the chief minister at his camp office. They handed a petition demanding a special law to prevent 'honour killings' and also to provide protection for inter-caste and inter-religious married couples.
