Fitch Trims FY25 Growth Projection of India to 6.3%

RATING agency Fitch has revised India's FY25 GDP growth forecast down from 6.4% to 6.3%, while keeping the FY26 estimate steady at 6.5% and slightly raising the FY27 projection to 6.3%.
The rating agency cautions that unexpectedly aggressive US trade policies pose a key risk to these forecasts but believes India remains somewhat shielded due to its low dependence on external demand.
